Seven Grammys, 78 million followers, the 3rd most liked photo on Instagram, countless hit songs, and a sensational documentary all at 19 years old. If there is anything to be said about the extremely accomplished musician, Billie Eilish, it is that she has taken the music industry by storm. Over the past month or so, in particular, the media has been constantly talking about Billie Eilish’s seven Grammys, her new documentary, “The World’s a Little Blurry”, and the question of how long Billie has been wearing a wig.

Let’s begin with Billie Eilish’s documentary. It is called “The World’s a Little Blurry” and was released February 26, 2021 on Apple TV. It includes countless concerts, behind the scenes clips, and offers interesting insight into Billie’s life. As a quick review, I will say that I really enjoyed it, and I think my family would agree. Before watching the film, my family would not have considered themselves Billie Eilish fans. However, after I somewhat forced them to watch it, their perspectives had changed. One of my favorite things was the behind the scenes from the development and production of Billie Eilish’s songs and music videos. She directs most, if not all, of her music videos and creates her songs with her brother, Finneas, in the house that they have lived in their entire lives. Overall, considering the fact that there was an excessive amount of Apple TV subscriptions made as the documentary was released, I have no doubt that “The World’s a Little Blurry” is worth the watch.

Moving on to Eilish’s seven Grammy awards. Over the course of 2020 and 2021 Billie has been nominated for 10 Grammy awards. Of these 10, she has won seven. In 2020 she won Pop Vocal Album, Song, Album, Record, and New Artist of the year. This year, in 2021, she won Song Written for Visual Media and Record of the year. This is an extreme accomplishment, considering Billie Eilish is only 19. Her music has resonated with so many people across the globe and continues to impact the lives of many.

From her clothes to her hair, Billie Eilish has become iconic for her unique style. Over the years, she has dyed her hair silver, white, various shades of blue and turquoise, green, and now blonde. Billie’s new hair color has been a constant point of discussion over many social media platforms. Before the release of her documentary, Billie had stated that she was planning to dye her hair after its release. This had all of her fans on edge waiting to see what color she would dye it next. On March 17, 2021, Billie posted an Instagram video revealing her new hair color. She then followed this with a photo. The post gained a total of one million likes in six minutes, becoming the fastest photo in Instagram history to achieve 1 million likes. Now, it has 21 million likes and remains the 3rd most liked photo on Instagram.

After Billie dyed her hair, there were conspiracies suggesting that she had been wearing a wig to cover the blonde until it was time to reveal it to the world. A particular video in which Billie was heard in the background possibly saying, “I can’t take off my wig,” began this theory. Her followers began looking into her Instagram posts for further evidence to support this idea. It had also been rumored that the process to lighten Billie’s hair to the new blonde color took six weeks. As fans were scrambling to determine the truth, Billie posted a video to TikTok. This video revealed that she was, in fact, wearing a wig. On this video she commented that she had been wearing a wig for two months. She had everyone completely fooled. Would you have guessed that Billie Eilish had been wearing a wig for two months?

Whether you have been a fan of Billie since “Ocean Eyes” or are just now finding her music, fans of Billie Eilish admire her authenticity, down-to-earth personality, and unforgettable presence. It is certainly clear that Billie has accomplished great things and will continue to significantly change the lives of millions.
